Anonymised Wertify solar plan with roof areas, panels and yield overview
SOLAR PLANNING FOR YOUR OWN ROOF

See what your roof can really produce.

Draw usable roof areas, exclude chimneys and windows, then compare panels, storage, yield and investment in one clear plan.

  • Panels fitted to the area you draw
  • Strings, shading and battery storage included
  • Compare production, self-sufficiency and economics

View all features

Shows official roof areas on an aerial map and classifies the usable areas individually.

1

Places panels to match the area, orientation and selected module.

2

Takes chimneys, skylights and other marked obstacles into account.

3

Uses the common shadow map for relative shadow profiles per roof area.

4

Forms panels into strings and MPPT groups and pre-tests voltage and current in cold and hot conditions.

5

Allows you to adjust panel performance, orientation, tilt, losses and electricity price.

6

Plan a battery storage system with capacity, costs and efficiency.

7

Shows monthly production, own consumption, grid consumption, self-sufficiency and rough economic efficiency.

8

Saves several areas and the entire planning of the object.

A FEW CLEAR STEPS

How your solar plan comes together

  1. 01

    Check roof

Check the address and map image. Only draw areas that really belong to the roof.

  2. 02

    Draw usable area

Place the corner points along one side of the roof. Areas can then be moved or deleted.

  3. 03

    Mark obstacles

Draw chimney, skylights and clear safety areas. The panel assignment avoids these areas.

  4. 04

    Check shading

Open the shared shadow map, control nearby buildings and add trees or walls.

  5. 05

    Select modules and memory

Adjust panel dimensions, performance, battery storage and prices to a realistic offer.

  6. 06

    Pre-check strings

Adopt module and inverter data from the data sheets. Wertify groups panels and marks implausible voltage or current ranges.

  7. 07

    Compare result

Read production, self-consumption, self-sufficiency, grid purchase and electrical groups together. More panels are not automatically the best option.

  8. 08

    Have the plan professionally checked

Take the saved variant to a solar company and have the roof, electrics and offer checked on site.

CLEAR LIMITS

Planning support, not installation approval

The calculator helps you compare and prepare. Structural checks, electrical design, grid connection and installation remain with qualified professionals.

Satellite images and drawn areas do not replace measurements on the roof.

Statics, roof condition, fire protection, network connection and approval are not checked.

Shading is presented as a 2.5D plan with partially estimated heights.

Yield, costs, subsidies and feed-in tariffs are estimates and are subject to change.

Panel assignment and string preliminary testing do not constitute electrical implementation planning or installation approval.

Common questions before planning

Does Wertify automatically detect how many panels fit on my roof?+

The planner covers the usable area you have drawn with the selected panel. The result therefore depends on careful surface area and correct module dimensions.

Can I leave out skylights and chimneys?+

Yes. Obstacles are marked on the map and taken into account when assigning panels.

Does Wertify also plan strings and inverters?+

Wertify creates a technical preliminary test consisting of module voltage, temperature coefficients and inverter limits. The binding design and protection planning remains with a qualified electrician.

Is the calculated yield binding?+

No. It is a reasonable estimate. Shading, weather, assembly and real system losses change the subsequent yield.

How do I find the right battery?+

Compare several capacities with your daily consumption and self-consumption. A very large battery is not automatically more economical.
