    Load environment

    Wertify searches for the buildings around the saved address and marks your own building.

    Check heights

    Check particularly close buildings. Estimated heights can be corrected directly.

    Add obstacles

    Place trees, walls or clear obstacles on the map and enter approximate dimensions.

    Compare day and season

    Move the time slider or start the animation. In particular, compare winter and summer.

    Save scene

    Save the checked environment to the object. The solar planner can then use the same shadow profiles for strings and MPPT groups.

Practical guidance

Helpful tips

  • Check winter morning and winter afternoon first. This is where long shadows are most noticeable.
  • Turn off distant buildings if they obscure the view.
  • Only correct an estimated height if you know a more plausible value.

Deliberate limits

What this tool does not do

  • Much open map data does not include measured building height. Wertify therefore labels estimated values ​​and makes them editable.
  • Trees, terrain, roof structures and new buildings may be missing and must be added if necessary.
  • The 2.5D projection is a planning view and not a survey, construction guarantee or professional shading study.
  • Apartments can check the surroundings; Changes to the shared roof remain the responsibility of the condominium owner.

Frequently asked questions

Are the shadows accurate?+

No. The position of the sun and projection are calculated geometrically, but the quality depends on the building floor plans and heights. Missing or estimated data remains visibly marked.

Does this make the solar yield more accurate?+

The shadow profiles help with area and string groups. The official BFE roof yield already takes terrain, buildings and vegetation into account; Wertify therefore does not deduct the same shadow again across the board.

Can I draw my own trees or walls?+

Yes. Position, width, depth, height and rotation can be recorded and changed again later.
